it's somewhat of a problem. i do use the translator every now and again.
it does provide quick r/o access. it's not always possible to start and
stop afs. since porting afs can take a fair bit of time, the translator
is better than nothing.
however, i have had no end of problems with the translator as well and
havent had much luck with getting transarc to fix problems with it. i
suppose i could fix them myself, but we were/are paying for support.
