well... i happen to know that 1.0.4 works. i would rather spend my
time chasing bugs that are ia64 related. since the maintainers are
only human beings its possible to have errors in the -current tree.
i should be able to merge in a cvs current w/o too much trouble after
i get things running (hopefully) on the ia64.
