Hi I installed Suse Linux 7.3 on a RS/6000 43P-140. Now I am trying to get openafs working.
Everything compiles very well, I get it installed with the help of some experience of German universities. Klog works for my cell, tokens gives the right answer. But "ls /afs" brings nothing, "ls /afs/something" brings an input/output-error. Here is the whole story: ==SNIP== amy:/home/tibu # uname -a Linux amy 2.4.19 #3 Sun Aug 4 08:28:30 BST 2002 ppc unknown amy:/home/tibu # klog tibu Password: amy:/home/tibu # tokens Tokens held by the Cache Manager: User's (AFS ID 39636) tokens for [EMAIL PROTECTED] [Expires Jan 30 15:40] --End of list-- amy:/home/tibu # ls /afs amy:/home/tibu # ls /afs/tu-chemnitz.de ls: /afs/tu-chemnitz.de: Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler amy:/home/tibu # ==SNAP== As you can see, I am using a 2.4.19 Kernel, but precompiled from http://www.solinno.co.uk/7043-140/ Leigh Brown made some patches to the kernel, to get it worked on this machine. I used the vanilla-kernel + his config-2.4.19 (make dep ...) to have an useful kernel-tree. Do you have any experience with openafs on this machine + linux? Are there known bugs, should it work? Where can I look for errors? Tilo _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-devel
