This doesn't work either. There are many conflicts between the kernel
headers and the AFS headers.

Have definitely been building against a configured and built kernel, with
built modules.

If anyone has build afs on sparc linux, please send me a configuration:
what kernel, what kernel config, what afs config, etc. Are you building
in a sparc32 environment, sparc64 environment, etc.
