I try to compile OpenAFS on a x86_64 architecture. (Both 2.4 and 2.6
kernel, but I would be satisfied with 2.4 for starters.)
Therefore the sysname would probably be x86_64_linux24 and x86_64_linux26
.
Any sugestions what kind of param.x86_64_linux24.h file I could use ?
Shall I derive it from i386 for compatibility reasons or from ia64 because
of 64 bit ?
Or do I need something completely different ?

BTW: The hardware in question is either an AMD Opteron machine (IBM
eServer 325) or an Intel Xeon EM64T (IBM xSeries 346). Both are SMP...

Regards
Frank
