I've had the same problem. I've gotten in the habbit of moving volumes
using the vos move -live option b/c it seems to actually take less time
to forward the volume than to wait for the clone and delete operations.
Of course, the volume is locked for the entire move, so this may not
work in all situations.
And yes, the fact that vos partinfo blocks while clones or deletes are
in progress is very annoying and has caused several issues with our disk
space usage monitors.
