FYI, looks like this patch was applied to HEAD (but not, yet,
to the 1.4 branch).  So you should test this and let the
gatekeepers know if this patch fails for you in any way.
In particular, testing various 2.4.9 and 2.4.10 kernels would
be useful on various distributions.
