the CPU type is K7 (AMD Athlon), on my notebook with PENTIUMM the modules
build without problems. The system (debian) is on both computers the same,
the gcc is 4.0.
I had a similar problem with gcc 4 on testing, it compiled fine with gcc
3.3.
