ah. i didnt understand when you said the test worked.  i thought you
meant that the test passed and it tried to build keyring support 
on a kernel missing linux/key.h.  you said:

you dont need to bother with this then.  ignoring keyring support on
the -22 kernels seems fine i guess (as long as too many people arent
stuck on them for some strange reason).
