I'm sorry, I stopped supporting certain older versions of Red Hat
software with 1.4.x. I never actually supported RHEL 2 at all.
Right now all the systems I support have RPM >= 4.2, so 4.0.x might not work.
If you get the SPECfile working I'll consider accepting the patches and
try to make sure it continues to work. However, I'm afraid I don't
have the time or resources to get it working for you pro bono.
Good Luck,

The rpm-version on RedHat ES 2.1 is 4.0.4. Unfortunatelly, upgrading
the ES 2.1 system is not an option.
What version of RPM do you have? It's possible that I'm now using
constructs that aren't supported in very old versions of RPM.
Honestly, you should upgrade to a version that was released this century.

Can anyone provide a source rpm for RedHat Enterpries 2.1?
Wow, that's OLD! What kernel does that use? What version of
Kerberos? Do the existing SRPMs not work for you?
-derek
The kernel version is 2.4.9-e.70smp, the Kerberos version is 1.2.2.
The existing src rpm (1.4.1 for RedHat ES 3.0) leads to to
following errors when trying to build on a RedHat ES 2.1 system:
error: parse error in expression
error: /home/rpm/SPECS/openafs.spec:107: parseExpressionBoolean returns -1
error: Name field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Version field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Release field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Summary field must be present in package: (main package)
error: Group field must be present in package: (main package)
error: License field must be present in package: (main package)
However, the src rpm for 1.2.13 (for RedHat ES 3.0) works perfectly.
