I don't want to re-hash last months discussion, but I am wondering if
the fsync() batching patch #30632(resolved) made it into 1.4.2 (I
couldn't find a reference in the delta's so I thought I'd ask).

No. It's not going into a 1.4.x until it's been in a 1.5.x (and i'd
expect 1.5.11 will have it)

I've manually applied that patch to 1.4.1fc4 and have been running it for 3 weeks without noticing any serious problems. Vos moves are significantly faster and using ZFS with compression saves me about 40% disk space on certain volumes.

You are welcome to use my binaries. They are in /afs/acm.uiuc.edu/system/sun4x_510/usr/afsws

I'll be compiling newer 1.4.2 binaries as soon as I get a chance.

I will report that using ZFS raidz causes issues with disk free space reporting, due to how ZFS presents free space to the OS. (It includes the parity space, so you actually have less free space than reported.)
