Yeah, I figured that out about a day later. 

I guess some status from me would be in order.  I've since increased the 
size of my OPTIONS, and I've not seen any problems since.  Here's the 
'new' OPTIONS I'm using:

-nosettime -files 20000 -stat 20000 -daemons 10 -volumes 1024 -dcache 4800 
-chunksize 18

They aren't zombies. At least, nothing there says they are. You're 
misinterpreting what you see.
