As this is a repost from the Darwin list I am going to repost exactly what I wrote there: Dave: This particular bug has received a significant amount of discussion on the openafs-devel over the last month. In particular, it was determined that this is not a MacOS X specific problem. It affects all of the UNIX clients. More importantly a patch was committed that is present in 1.4.3rc1 and 1.5.13.
