My question is: does anybody care for the "sophisticated" solution? As far as I can see, "servers" normally use one rx service for stats and the other for normal serving, similar for voting and serving in the ubik case. The only slightly more elaborate one is the kaserver. All those probably run fine with a single thread pool and first-come-first-serve.

Any opinions?

Opinions I got. Yes, we care. As multicore processors and servers get bigger and bigger, such issues will become more important.
