Leandro:

I apologize for the delay in responding to you on this list.
Most of the students that have inquired regarding GSoC projects
have been discussing them with us on the Freenode #openafs IRC channel.

Regarding the website redesign and update. We are looking for someone
to:

(1) Help us determine what questions must be answered by the new site.
We are looking for more than simply a redesign of the existing
    content.

(2) Help pick the most appropriate tools for managing the content based
    upon a number of criterias:
    (a) what software will the system administrators be able to support
    (b) the level of complexity of the solution
    (c) the ability to use OpenAFS to distribute the web content
        to multiple web servers

(3) Design prototypes of the site for evaluation

(4) Perform the actual implementation

Please join us on the IRC channel in order to have a real time
discussion.

Thanks and welcome to the OpenAFS Community.

Hi,

I'm planning to aplly to this year's GSoC. I'm particulary interested in the "OpenAFS website redesign and update" idea.

I would like to know if the proposed solution should be a static site or a dynamic one. In the latter case, should an existing website managment system used, or a new one is prefered?

Cheers,
L
