OpenOffice is _not_ running out of AFS (look a the path name in the strace).
OO probably has bugs but this problem happens only with the new version
of OpenAFS and I see very similar/the same problems when accessing other
files in my home directory volumes with other programs. Yesterday, I
tried to "bzip -d" a file with the same error. I could "fix" that with an
"fs flush".
What's in the kernel message log? Can you enable fstrace? Does it
illuminate anything?
There are no kernel messages. Enabling fstrace doesn't show anything
suspicious - but then, I don't know what I am looking for.
I can send you the dump if you want.
