Thank you for your interest.  If you have not already done so you should
read visit http://socghop.appspot.com/ and sign up as a student with
Google Summer of Code.  You can then fill out an application for OpenAFS
and specify a project proposal.

Asanka Herath will be the mentor for the Password Quality Meter and
Password Generation project.

The public repository for Network Identity Manager is located at
http://github.com/secure-endpoints/netidmgr/.  You could start by
attempting to build Network Identity Manager from source.
