Jason,

Everyone that uses Google OpenID has received that message once for
every OpenID service that is authenticated to. As stated in the message
you received, the reason Google is sending it to end users is that
Google doesn't have a contact list for developers of services that
implemented Google OpenID and not their replacement authentication
mechanism.

At the current time there is no version of Gerrit that supports the
replacement. There is work underway within the Gerrit community to
provide a more extensible authentication framework. In theory that will
make it easier to implement other web authentication methods. Until
such time as Gerrit has the necessary support there is nothing for the
OpenAFS developer community to do.

Gerrit was originally developed to support Android and they are in
exactly the same boat OpenAFS is in. I can only hope that if the
necessary support is not available in Gerrit by the April 20 deadline
that the deadline will be extended if only to prevent interruption to
the Android development community.
