Dear OpenAFS Team, Wishing the community a great day! I recently came across the Unit Test Automation Framework project for OpenAFS under GSoC 2025 and found it incredibly exciting. While I have limited experience with some of the mentioned technologies, I am highly motivated to learn and fully dedicate myself to this project.
I have a strong foundation in C and Python and have worked on software testing (Load and Functional testing) in previous projects. However, I am eager to deepen my understanding of unit testing frameworks, particularly within the OpenAFS ecosystem. I am especially interested in how the current unit tests function with C-TAP and Perl and how we can build a more extensible and consistent testing framework. Could you guide me on how to get started with OpenAFS, particularly in terms of setting up the development environment and understanding the existing unit tests? Additionally, any key resources or repositories I should explore first would be greatly appreciated. I am a quick learner and would love to contribute effectively. Looking forward to your guidance and excited to collaborate as part of GSoC 2025! Best regards, Sujal _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-devel mailing list OpenAFS-devel@openafs.org https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-devel
