Hey there !
This is Akshika , I am a third year student pursuing Btech in India. I am
interested in developing a netcat-like tool for the OpenAFS community under
Gsoc'25 and have written a proposal for the same (
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XFgrTYjmbIimVWS54UZGVzfjVlX62a1Y27ijiqtPXCU/edit?usp=sharing
).

I am exploring the network security domain. Some relevant projects I have
completed :
- Chat Application using socket programming with encrypted communication
- Created several vulnerable VMs to simulate real-world Network functions
Virtualization and test security features .
- Bash Scripting to automate network reconnaissance in Penetration Testing
- Continually practice low-level programming , pointer arithmetic, and
memory-efficient data handling problems in C language

I'd really appreciate any feedback you might have, especially on technical
feasibility and alignment with OpenAFS’s priorities
Thanks
Akshika Munshi
