Hello, I am happy to introduce our two contributors for Google Summer of Code 2025. Their projects are now underway, and we are excited to be working with them for the next 12 weeks on OpenAFS.
Please join us in welcoming: Tejas Sonawane, who will be working on a GNOME Shell Extension for OpenAFS. Tejas will be mentored by Michael Meffie. Sushil Pandey, who will be focused on Improving Multi-page Folio Support in the OpenAFS Linux kernel module. Sushil's mentor for this project is Cheyenne Will. We encourage you to say hello to Tejas and Sushil if you see them in our IRC channels or on the mailing lists. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the individuals who helped in getting the GSoC projects started this year. David Botsch has again stepped up and done the work needed for the Organization Administration, in addition to assisting with the proposal reviews. Andrew Deason organized and reviewed the project proposals. Mark Vitale, Cheyenne Wills, and Gaurav Saxena assisted with project proposal reviews. This year, we saw an incredible response, with a record number of contributor proposals for Google Summer of Code. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal. The quality and effort put into each submission were truly impressive, and we deeply appreciate the time and dedication involved. While time constraints limited our participation to two projects this summer, the quantity and quality of the project proposals made our selection process both challenging and inspiring. Best regards, Mike -- Michael Meffie <mmef...@sinenomine.net> _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-devel mailing list OpenAFS-devel@openafs.org https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-devel
