Hello,
I have noticed that if for whatever reason the root.afs volume is
unavailable when the
cache manager starts, that afsd starts, but /afs is never mounted.
once this state occurs, there apears to be no remedy except to reboot
the machine. if the init scrip found in the redhat rpms is run with the
stop argument at this point, a kernel panic occurs.
Is there any way to verify that the root.afs volume is actually
available before starting afsd?
