Hi,everyone:
I'm a graduate student at the Institute of
Computing Technology of CAS. I want to install AFS in my LAN for
researching purpose, but meet some problems. I have downloaded AFS rpm files for
RedHat Linux 7.2,and have installed following :
openafs-1.2.3-rh7.1.2.i386.rpm
openafs-kernel-1.2.3-rh7.1.2.i386.rpm
openafs-client-1.2.3-rh7.1.2.i386.rpm
openafs-server-1.2.3-rh7.1.2.i386.rpm
Because this is my first time working with AFS, I don't know what's the
other rpms for.
Another question is the docs under the Documentaiton link on openafs'
homepage don't work well with these rpms, for example I can't find the excutable
bos and kas in /usr/afs/bin, so I'm not able to name my cell and add afs users
by using "./bos setcellname ..." and "kas>create ..."as instructed in AFS
Quick Beginning.
Then what should I do? And where can I get some useful docs for rpm
installation?
Eager for you help, and thanks a lot! Fangpeng Dong
