Isn't this version vulnerable to the rxkad (or something like that)
vulnerability?  That's why we weren't using it. We're actually looking
at AFS Light to support our Win9x users (if I can figure out how to
install the Win9x portion on the Win9x machines. Documentation seems
kind of sketchy).
    

I'm really new in this task. Do you use Kerberos v5? Is AFS Light able to
use kerberos tickets and convert them into AFS tokens on Win 98?

No, I don't use kerberos V (yet) but it just caught my attention that you were using a win9x client and I thought (hoped) you had one of version 1.2.8 or greater.  Sorry if I misled you.
