Which version of the OpenAFS client are you using?
What are the contents of %WINDIR%\TEMP\afsd.log and %WINDIR%\TEMP\afsd_init.log after the panic?

I'm desperately trying to get OpenAFS working on my XP machine but I'm running into the following problem:
After configuring the client with setting's identical to those of my friend's (who's also running XP), I click "Start Service" and immediately get this error in a pop-up window:

After clicking OK it just takes me right back to the main menu with the three tabs (Tokens, Drive Letters, Advanced) and the "Stop Service" button grays-out / "Start Service" button becomes enabled again.
If I click "Start Service" again I get the same exact error over again.
My Thoughts: There shouldn't be an error in my configuration because my settings are *identical* to my friends. He's even running the same version of XP as me. So something else must be amiss.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
