We're using the default afsd init script provided by the releases.  The
only difference is we're patching it (as shown in last post) to remove

uh. i suppose you can edit the Makefile in src/libafs to add it, remove the objects in src/libafs/MODLOAD-(whatever) and just make in src/libafs

Ok. We fixed only one thing which might affect this, and I doubt it's it.

probably "try the next version just to be sure, and then we'll go from there"
