[OpenAFS] nfs/afs translator

hai all,

i am getting problems with nfs/afs translator.


first i am giving configuration of machines:


NFS client:  red hat linux 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18-14)

AFS translator machine : Red hat linux 7.3 (2.4.18-3) .. This is also the
AFS server.


the translator(nfs server) is not exporting afs directories.

when i see " /proc/fs/nfs/exports " , it is not listing the afs directories.

and when is do " mount" operation in client machines , the following error is registered in " /var/log/messages " in server machines.

Dec 28 14:37:46 boppanna rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from vinod.ernet.in:737 for /afs (/afs)

Dec 28 14:37:46 boppanna rpc.mountd: getfh failed: Operation not permitted


i unable to solve the problem . please help me. why the " /proc/fs/nfs/exports" file is not showinf the afs directory.

there is nothing problem with the syntax ..i checked with normal directories.
