So if the servers don't support it, no harm is done? Or if its turned off on the servers, will it enable crypt if the client requests it? How can I tell if it is being used by the client or not (like if the request suceeded or failed)? I searched in the release notes first and didn't see much about it. :-)
all servers support it. if you turn on crypt, any authenticated connection will use encryption.
