i dont know much about "dcache hc".  i would like to know if
you see it in the 1.4.0 release though.

I sent him a patch which dumps more debugging, I guess he didn't get it in time.

I rebooted the affected system ( with shutdown -n , normal shutdown did hang in the previous cases )and I have applied the debugging patch , when the next error occurs I will try 1.4.
