Is it possible you have something bogus in /etc/hosts?
Thanks, I found the problem, a silly mistake. I had the wrong IP on
/etc/hosts of the machine and when I tried to use the IP instead of
the name I made the same mistake, and only now looking into the
/etc/hosts I spot the mistake.
Now the /etc/hosts is right and works OK, with the name and the IP.
Thanks.
