I've installed the 1.4.0-rc5 from your rpms last night and all seems
to be working great. After building the rpms for 1.4.0-rc8 I
realized that I didn't know how to build the rpm for the kernel
module so I reverted to your rpms.
I've installed 3 afs-db's and 3 fileservers each with clients all on
RHEL 3.0 (whitebox really)
Derek, I realize you said yesterday that I'm on my own building the
rpms, but would you be able to explain how to build the rpms for my
running kernel? I think it would be great to know that, and
available via the mailing list archive too.
thanks,
Pucky

Could you try the rc5 candidate RPMs from

you? (You might just need to grab the SRPM and rebuild).
Thanks,

This is only a client and not a server, and had been running rc4

for quite some time before installing rc7.
