AFS has only single-master-replication. And the replication is not a
permanent process, but initiated by an admin.

Perhaps AFS is not the solution you are looking for. You are speaking
about logs - why not syslog(ng)?

Thanks Chris. I must admit I don't know about syslog(ng). The reason for using AFS is because the logs are stored on unix servers, but the developers want to view them on their windows pcs.
