I applied the Debian 1.4.0rc4 diff to 1.4.0rc8, with almost no
modification, and I've been happily running with those debs installed.
No more segfaults in any of the tools, and no more Oops. I've done some
stress testing and tried to excersize many of the options on the utilities.

Yes, compiled and installed yesterday - works, but I have not much experience
with it.
