Thanks Derrick,

I am now able to start and stop AFS and the filesystem is correctly mounted. Now when I try to get a token I always get a wrong password error (although the password works on other systems). I checked that the time of my machine and the server are not skewed and the right cell is configured in ThisCell. Do you have any suggestion what I should check or where could I get more informations (I didn't find a way to get more from klog and the log files show nothing relevant).

Many thanks again,

Matteo

you didn't sudo when you made the package, i guess, and so the owner of the kernel module is wrong (you and not root)

Hi,

I tried to test 1.4.1rc1 and the current CVS version on a Tiger machine but in both cases I get the following error from the system:

        /var/db/openafs/etc/afs.kext installed improperly

Any hint?

Many thanks in advance,

Matteo Corti
