Kris, It turns out the "AFS to UFS mapping..." warning is not really a problem. The code that results in the warning is a holdover from long ago. However, as I said in thread last weekend, there is an unrelated problem which can result in crashes when files are renamed in a lofs mounted filesystem on top of afs (e.g. when you mount afs into a child zone) in s10 06/06. Patches for these two issues are available at the following URLs, respectively:

Hi Folks.. Has anyone ever encountered this error? I get it booting a Solaris 10 6/06 SPARC system with OpenAFS 1.4.1 built with ./configure --disable-afsdb --enable-transarc-paths --exec-prefix=/usr/afsws --with-afs-sysname=sun4x_510 /usr/vice/cache is mounted nologging. Afs seems to be working on this client, but I'm worried that some problems might be lurking.. This is a freshly installed Solaris 10 6/06 system. Solaris 10 1/06 or 3/05GA does not give me this message when booting with the same binaries.
