Chaskiel and I attempted to reproduce this tonight in the ANDREW cell
and couldn't. So I tried it in uncc.edu and couldn't replicate it there
either:

[\\afs\uncc.edu\usr]fs la l\trng07\
Access list for l\trng07\ is
Normal rights:
  system:administrators rlidwka
  system:anyuser l
  2961 l
  trng07 rlidwka

[\\afs\uncc.edu\usr]fs sa l\trng07\ trng07 none

[\\afs\uncc.edu\usr]fs la l\trng07\
Access list for l\trng07\ is
Normal rights:

  system:anyuser l

[\\afs\uncc.edu\usr]fs sa l\trng07\ trng07 rlidwka

So my next question is "what client are you using?"
