Well, afsd didn't start as per the below afsd_init.log

Appears that the afsd_service version is newer than everything else.

I had 1.5.0600 on this machine (that custom build that fixed the sysprep
issue.) I then installed the 1.4.2fc3 debug msi. This is why I asked
if something was hosed, b/c 1.4.0201 shouldn't be involved at all
(although it may have been installed previously.) I do have a ghost
image of the original so I can recreate the situation, trying to
properly uninstall the old 1.5 version first, reboot, and then install
1.4.2fc3.

To fix this machine, I uninstalled whatever versions were listed in the
add/remove control panel (I think there were two entries) rebooted.
rmdir /s C:\progra~1\openafs, then installed the fc3 non-debug msi,
rebooted.

I can try again with the debug msi if it should work. Can I "upgrade"
to it, or do I need to uninstall, reboot, install to switch from
non-debug to debug?
