This particular issue has been discussed quite a bit on other forums (and while was I was personally amused at the idea, there was even a suggestion posted (wishful thinking?) that if convicted Hans Reiser may have a lot *more* time to spend on the project). It does bring up an important point for any (OSS) project that when the software (or particular sub-distribution) is too dependent on just one (even if very talented) person for its continuance, the governance (and potential viability) of the project may have some serious weaknesses. Busses happen (as in "hit by a bus"). One must plan accordingly. Gary
