This was first noticed when Solaris 10 11/06 was released with kernel patch 118833-33, and hit the rest of our Solaris 10 systems when they released kernel patch 118833-36. There is a fix for it, please read these postings from December:
http://www.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-devel/2006-December/014598.html There's a patch in those emails that can be applied to 1.4.2, which is what we did. I don't know if it's been incorporated into the main tree yet.
