Answers as best I can: Can you be more specific? Probelms accessing date via symlinks, using /dev/fs/P/...... seemed to improve. Linkage editior failing with unresolved symbols, yet retrying the process from a lower level directory completes successfully.
Do you happen to know the working set size of all the files in your build process? Not precisely, this would require investigation. Are you using the latest 1.5.X series client? no - I am at 1.4.0101 On what hardware are you experiencing problems? Dont know model number - - Intel 3.6GHz, 3.3GB RAM, 36GB Hard Drive I will try turning off encryption FWIW, my afs mount does not show up under /net...... Fs setcrypt off and see if that improves performance. You can also set the cache size larger and tweak other parameters. Do you happen to know the working set size of all the files in your build process? Its probably best if all files that are needed can be cached on the client machine. The default cache is only 100MB or so, which might be too small in your case. Are you using the latest 1.5.X series client? On what hardware are you experiencing problems? <<CDC _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-info mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-info
