If you represent an organization that would like to see production
quality implementations of the OpenAFS Servers (File, Volume Database,
Protection, ...) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or 2008 please contact
me off-list. I am interested in determining what level of demand there
would be for such support. Only contact me if your organization would
be willing to deploy such servers if they were available. If so, which
of the following deployment scenarios would your organization be
interested in:

(1) Microsoft Windows Server as the only host operating system for all
AFS services

(2) Microsoft Windows Server as one host operating system in a mixed
deployment with Linux or UNIX including at least one volume database
server, one file server, and one protection server.

(3) Microsoft Windows Server as one host operating system in a mixed
deployment with Linux or UNIX in which Windows is used only as a host
for at least one file server.

Please indicate if selecting (2) or (3) whether or not you would store
normal (read-write) volumes on the Windows Server or only readonly replicas.

Please indicate if your organization would use Active Directory for the
authentication service.

Please indicate if your organization would use Active Directory for
storage of Protection Service data if that option was available.

Thank you.
