I hadn't really thought about people intentionally keeping their RWs &
ROs out of sync w/each other. I'm not clear why someone would want to
do that -- could you elaborate?
Version control on the cheap: the R/O contains the publicly
supported version, the R/W is the development/testing one. When it's
tested and ready for deployment, release the volume.
