Hi Dave,
I never got it to work on 64 bit XP either. On 64 bit Vista it works
like a charm. Something else, maybe related, is that there was never a
netware client built for XP 64. From what I heard due to how XP 64 does
some networking stuff. After some tries I decided that the problem
probably was 'related' and an issue with XP and never even tried to get
the 64 bit clients to work anymore. I had some 'limited' success with
the 32 bit versions. (but that caused problems of and on).
Something else I noticed. It seems that 64 bit versions of XP and Vista
have more issues when timeouts etc. When I see with ether real that
there are timeout problems for example, 32 bit windows machines are
humming like nothing is going on, while anything MS 64 bit has
connection problems. (I don't know why, I just notice it)
But, on Vista 64 bit the OpenAFS client works like a charm.
