-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi!
Now we apployed latest OpenAFS windows 1.5.32 update to raise speed of OpenAFS filesapace (which works very well) I get to the slow fileservers in our network. OpenAFS filserver 1.4.6 debian .deb version Debian etch/sarge mix system gbit line software raid from 3-5 SATA 750 GB HDs Dell Server dual Core Xeon 3Ghz /vicepa on ext3 If I scp from one of the /vicepa to my workstation (linux or windows) I obtain 25-30 MB/Sec. If I copy files from OpenAFS space out of that /vicepa I obtain max 10 MB/sec. While this transport is active the CPUs are only load up to 60% from filserver. Over all there is enough "space" in load and network to get more than 10 MB/sec via OpenAFS. The other cell beside our has this issue, to. They run 2 virtual server on one physical and both virtual can send out with max 10 MB/sec, as the physical is not under 100%load that time. Is there any limit built in? Has anyone reached more than 10 MB/sec from debian filserver package? My bos startline: parm /usr/lib/openafs/fileserver -nojumbo -L -rxpck 400 -udpsize 1310720 MfG, Lars Schimmer - -- - ------------------------------------------------------------- TU Graz, Institut für ComputerGraphik & WissensVisualisierung Tel: +43 316 873-5405 E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fax: +43 316 873-5402 PGP-Key-ID: 0x4A9B1723 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHwB0fmWhuE0qbFyMRAs4oAJ9dnWEue765lJ5dUkroIwgCEs4+QwCfaoP0 cxs0t48eJ5pCAgWSePpB+8k= =FWE4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-info mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-info
