I suspect you best bet is going to be: 1. establish a new cell using OpenAFS 2. configure it for authentication from AD or whatever you plan to use for a krb5 realm 3. "vos dump" each of your volumes from the existing cell and "vos restore" them to the new cell 4. there are not good tools for exporting and re-importing the protection database. but you can list the existing entries from the current cell and write a script to construct equivalent entries in the new cell. Just make sure you assign all users and groups the same IDs that they have in the current cell.
