How can I get the vlserver to report the external IP address for external
requests?

It's supposed to report both and does for me. We don't know where the
request came from, and if we did we still wouldn't necessarily know
topology. More work is needed in that space.

I'm not sure I understand your pronoun references. Do you mean to say that the vlserver shotguns both IPs at the client because that bit of code is unable to discern external or internal client requests in a NAT environment?

However, I'm pretty sure a relevant fileserver bug was fixed post-1.4.2.

Cool. Now I get to learn about debian backports which I heard are pretty cool.

Was the list server down or did everyone take a break for a few days?

Later,
Jason
