I think it's an error in the repo. I tried to do the same thing several
days ago. I've opened a bug report on this issue. [grand.central.org
#118071]
I changed the first baseurl entry in /etc/yum.repos.d/openafs to:
baseurl=http://dl.openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.4.7/rhel5/$basearch/
That seemed to work. The only problem is that they don't yet have a
pre-built kernel module available for the kernel that Red Hat released
at the end of last week.

Sorry to bug -- but I am lost attempting to use yum to install openafs.
I am using RHEL 5.2.
I grabbed the latest maint repository of openafs with
wget
http://openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.4.7/openafs-repository-rhel-1.4.7-2.noarch.rpm
Then installed it:
rpm -i openafs-repository-rhel-1.4.7-2.noarch.rpm
But when I attempt to install it
yum install openafs-client
Loading "rhnplugin" plugin
Loading "security" plugin
http://dl.openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.4.7/rhel-5Server/i386/repodata/repomd.xml:
[Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository:
openafs. Please verify its path and try again
Is there an error in the repo file ? or did I grab the wrong repository?
