fs checkvolumes will force the client to check for new volumes instead of waiting for two hours.

"cd `pwd`" will reevaluate the current path using the newer mountpoints.

OK so I wait for 2 hours or is there a quicker way to test this out?

Thanks

Just set up a new cell with root.afs, root.cell and foo.vol mounted to foo.

Noticed that after a vos release of foo.vol /afs/$CELL/foo is
writable. As is afs/.$CELL/foo.

This shouldn't be?

I can send the script if need be

thanks

The volume information is expired on the client every two hours.
If you just added your initial RO replica, the client may be unaware
