I am using openafs-*-1.4.7-68.SL5 (Scientific Linux 5.2) on i386, everything else seems to work. Client is started with: /usr/vice/etc/afsd -stat 40000 -dcache 40000 -daemons 10 -volumes 25 -files 200000 -verbose -afsdb -dynroot -fakestat Cache settings: fs st -v Default store asynchrony is 1611393 kbytes. fs getcacheparms AFS using 330841 of the cache's available 100000000 1K byte blocks.
The link between server and client is nominally 24/2Mbps ADSL, actual about 22/1.2Mbps, so writes are only about 120 KB/s and if the write cache would work, it would make a big difference. Read cache works, seeing hard disk speed type of performance. So, how to get it working? _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-info mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-info
