If the error was truly the result of the maximum connections on the AFS SMB Server being reached there would be a log entry in the Windows Application Event Log. If not, the error is being generated by the SMB redirector (Microsoft's client) and the question should be forwarded to Microsoft support. Jeffrey Altman
